Our History

Costa Marine Canvas originated in the mid-sixties when Joe Costa transferred from headlining at Pacemaker Yachts to the upholstery department and combined his training with his own instinctive feel for upholstery and, with the assistance of his wife Donna, created Anchor Custom Upholstery located in Egg Harbor City, NJ. As the business grew and the need for more space became apparent, a second manufacturing facility was then added. Employees at both locations then began fabricating the custom cushions and enclosures for which Costa is so well known.

Our Legacy

Shortly after the name of the company was formally changed to Costa Marine Canvas and Enclosures and we expanded once again and consolidated everyone into a larger and more modern facility located at 1324 Moss Mill Road with Joe's son Chris now as President.

Our Commitment

Costa Marine Canvas has enjoyed long, successful relationships with many of the world-renowned boat builders based in the South Jersey area. We have been associated with Viking Yachts since 1973 and we continue a history with many leading marine manufacturing companies. Although the yacht makers are the largest part of our craft, we take pride that the same attention to detail and customer satisfaction that is our hallmark with the big builders is also put into the retail work done for individual customers.
